In order to get a bird's eye view,
you need to put your self in
the bird's shoe for a while. Some people see the sale itself, but
there are many unseen tasks that are involved with putting a successful
auction together. Some of these include, sorting, cleaning,
packing, unpacking, advertising, legal paperwork, etc.. Some sales
take months of planning prior to conducting the actual auction.
Being in front of the crowd at auction time, is fun and exciting, it can
also be somewhat stressful. It takes a keen eye to scan the crowd
for a potential bidder, a sharp mind to know what your are selling, and
a smooth chant to keep the crowd upbeat and enthused through the sale.
